Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets.
Step 2
Stir oats, flour, sugar, and almonds together in a large bowl. Stir butter, syrup, water, and baking soda together in a medium bowl.
Step 3
Stir butter mixture into flour mixture. Roll dough into walnut-size balls. Place cookies 2 inches apart on the prepared cookie sheets; flatten slightly.
Step 4
Bake in the preheated oven until golden, 15 to 18 minutes. Remove from baking sheets to cool on wire racks.
