Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease 24 muffin cups or line with paper liners.
Step 2
Place cake mix, water, oil, and eggs in a large bowl. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until well combined, about 2 minutes. Fill prepared muffin cups 2/3 full with batter.
Step 3
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center of cupcakes comes out clean, 19 to 23 minutes. Let cupcakes cool completely.
Step 4
Beat pudding mix with milk in a large bowl with an electric mixer until thick, about 2 minutes.
Step 5
Beat whipped topping into pudding mixture to make filling.
Step 6
Spoon about 1 1/2 cups pudding mixture into a pastry bag fitted with a large piping tip.
Step 7
Press the piping tip into center of each cupcake and fill with about 1 1/2 tablespoon of pudding mixture.
Step 8
Spoon 1 heaping tablespoon of remaining pudding mixture on top of each cupcake; swirl to make a nest. Press chocolate sprinkles around edges of nests; place 3 chocolate eggs into each nest.

  • 72 mini chocolate candy-coated Easter eggs
