Place cantaloupe and cucumbers in a colander with a plate on top. Put a heavy object (such as a large can of food) on the plate to squeeze excess liquid from cantaloupe and cucumbers, tossing every 30 minutes, for 2 to 3 hours total.
Step 2
Transfer cantaloupe and cucumbers to a large bowl; add onion, celery, dressing, and vinegar. Toss to coat. Stir in poppy seeds.
