Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Process bread in a blender or food processor to make soft crumbs. Transfer bread crumbs into a shallow bowl.

Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; whisk in flour until dissolved. Whisk in milk and broth; cook and stir until mixture is thickened, about 5 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat and cool mixture.
