Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Step 2
Bake in the preheated oven until lightly browned and bubbly, 15 to 20 minutes.
Step 3
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook bow tie pasta at a boil, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 12 minutes. Drain.
Step 4
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef and onion in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease. Stir in pasta sauce: bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low and simmer.
Step 5
Stir cooked pasta and half mozzarella cheese into the sauce to combine. Transfer to a 2-quart baking dish. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
