Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Heat a cast-iron skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage; cook, flipping every few minutes, until golden brown and an instant-read thermometer inserted into center reads at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C), about 10 minutes. Transfer sausage to a plate, leaving drippings in the skillet.
Step 2
Cook and stir onions and bell pepper in the same skillet until brown and tender, 5 to 10 minutes. Transfer to the plate with sausage.
