Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Bake in the preheated oven until set in the middle, about 50 minutes. Serve warm or cold.

Whisk egg yolks together in a small bowl until well combined. Whisk together sugar, flour, and salt in a large bowl. Stir in yolks, milk, lemon zest, and lemon juice.
Step 4
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. Fold egg whites into lemon-flour mixture. Pour into a 1-quart baking dish.
Step 5
Set the baking dish in a baking pan. Pour water into the baking pan, about 1 inch up the sides of the pan to make a water bath.
