Step 1
Heat the oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C).

Whisk sweet potatoes, 4 tablespoons butter, eggs, and egg yolk in an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Fold in pineapple and transfer to a 6-cup casserole dish.
Step 3
Stir together cornflake crumbs, remaining 2 tablespoons butter, and brown sugar. Alternating in rows, spoon cornflake crumbs across top of casserole at a diagonal, followed by a row of marshmallows. Repeat until you have 5 rows of the cornflakes and 4 rows of the marshmallows.
