I like to avoid prepared and processed food, but with two young children, anything I make has to be easy and worth the effort (i.e. tasty!). Note: I usually use Muir Glen tomato products.

Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Combine tomato sauce, tomato paste, olive oil, Italian herbs, basil, garlic powder, red pepper flakes, and salt in a medium bowl. Stir until thoroughly combined.

  • 1 teaspoon dried basil (Optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce (such as Muir Glen™ Organic)
  • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste (such as Muir Glen™ Organic)
  • 3 pinches garlic powder, or to taste
