Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Step 2
Stir together flour, 1/2 cup white sugar, and baking powder in a medium bowl until well combined. Mix in milk and 1/4 cup butter until smooth. Set batter aside.
Step 3
Stir together water, brown sugar, and cornstarch in a medium saucepan. Mix in peaches and blueberries. Cook and stir over medium heat until thick and bubbly. Mix in 1 tablespoon butter and lemon juice. Continue cooking until butter melts. Pour into a 1 1/2-quart ungreased baking dish.
Step 4
Evenly spoon batter in mounds over hot fruit in the baking dish. Mix together coarse sugar and nutmeg in a small bowl until well combined; sprinkle over batter.
Step 5
Place the baking dish on a shallow baking pan in the preheated oven. Bake cobbler until bubbly and a toothpick inserted into biscuit topping comes out clean, about 35 minutes.

  • 0.25 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 0.5 cup cold water
