Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Combine sausage, ham hocks, onion, and water in a large pot over low heat. Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Step 2
Remove ham hocks from soup; remove meat, tear into small pieces, and return meat to the pot. Stir in carrots, potatoes, cabbage, and tomato sauce until well combined. Cover and cook for 60 to 90 minutes more.
Step 3
Stir in beans and pasta; add more water as needed. Cook until heated through and pasta is tender yet firm to the bite, about 10 minutes.
