Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook bow-tie pasta at a boil, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, about 12 minutes. Drain.
Step 2
While pasta boils, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir ground beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes. Drain and discard grease.
Step 3
Transfer beef back into the pan. Add water, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and seasoning mix, and bring to a simmer. Continue to simmer until heated through and flavors have blended, 5 to 10 minutes. Stir in cooked pasta and mozzarella cheese and serve.

  • 1 (16 ounce) package farfalle (bow tie) pasta
  • 1 (1.3 ounce) envelope Sloppy Joe seasoning mix
  • 1.5 cups water
  • 1.5 pounds ground beef
  • 0.25 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, or to taste
