Tequila Sunrise

A tequila sunrise is a colorful cocktail with layers of orange juice and grenadine. A good choice for a brunch cocktail on a hot summer day.

Ingredients

• ice cubes
• 1 Maraschino cherry for garnish
• 1 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger tequila
• 1 slice orange, for garnish
• 0.75 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
• 0.5 (1.5 fluid ounce) jigger grenadine syrup

Recipe Instructions

Step 1

Stir orange juice and tequila together. Fill a chilled 12-ounce glass with ice cubes; pour in orange juice mixture.

Step 2

Slowly pour in the grenadine, and allow it to settle to the bottom of the glass (be patient). Garnish with a slice of orange and a maraschino cherry.
