Jewish soul food at its best! Mom always made this classic noodle kugel for Shabbat dinner. It's easy to prepare, and makes the kitchen smell wonderful!

Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Step 2
Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat. Add noodles and return to a boil. Cook, uncovered, stirring occasionally, until slightly firm to the bite, about 5 minutes. Drain well.
Step 3
Place noodles in a large bowl. Stir margarine into noodles until melted. Stir in eggs, sugar, applesauce, and vanilla extract. Pour noodle mixture into a 9x13-inch baking pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Cover the pan with aluminum foil.
Step 4
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Uncover and continue to bake until golden brown, 20 to 30 minutes more.
