Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Pour hot sauce into a small dish. Combine flour, brown sugar, grill seasoning, salt, and black pepper in a separate small dish. Beat milk and eggs together in another small dish. Add panko to a separate shallow dish. Arrange the dishes in a line, respectively.
Step 2
Dip 1 side tomato slices in hot sauce; press both sides into flour mixture to coat. Dip slices in milk mixture; gently press into panko to coat. Arrange coated tomatoes on a baking sheet; do not stack. Refrigerate until chilled, about 30 minutes.
Step 3
Heat oil in a deep fryer or a cast-iron skillet to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Fry tomato slices in hot oil until golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes per side.
