Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

Whisk 1 cup of flour with salt in a medium bowl; mix in room-temperature butter until it resembles cornmeal. Stir in ice water 1 tablespoon at a time until dough holds together. Refrigerate until ready to use.
Step 3
Place berries in a large bowl; sprinkle with sugar and 6 tablespoons flour. Stir in 3/4 cup water until moistened; scrape into a 2-quart baking dish. Roll dough on a floured work surface to 1/4-inch thick; cut into 3/4-inch strips. Place on top of berries in a crisscross pattern. Scatter diced butter over top.

Bake in the preheated oven until berries are tender and crust is golden brown, about 30 minutes.
