These bars are wonderful, very rich, and very similar to the ones sold at Starbucks®. I usually will double the recipe and bake them in a large 15-inch baking sheet. I cut them into small, 1-inch square bars because they are very rich!

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease a 9-inch square baking dish.
Step 2
Combine 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl.

Beat brown sugar, butter, and vanilla in a large bowl with an electric mixer until creamy. Add egg and mix until well combined. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Fold in all chips. Transfer batter to the prepared baking pan.
Step 4
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, 20 to 23 minutes. Transfer pan to a wire rack and cool completely, about 1 hour. Refrigerate until chocolate is set, 5 to 10 minutes.
