A soft, buttery chocolate chip cookie with a taste reminiscent of a certain famous Derby Day pie. Lots of pecans and chocolate chips!

Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Step 2
Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl with a fork. Set aside.
Step 3
Beat together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar in a large bowl until smooth. Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Mix in bourbon. Stir in flour mixture just until blended. Fold in pecans and chocolate chips until evenly distributed. Drop by large spoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
Step 4
Bake in the preheated oven until the edges are lightly browned, about 10 minutes. Cool cookies on the baking sheets for 1 minute, then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
