Step 1
Cover and cook on Low for 5 hours.
Step 2
Combine brown sugar, butter, salt, and hot water in a 5-quart slow cooker. Add cinnamon sticks and cloves.
Step 3
Stir in rum.
Step 4
Ladle from the slow cooker into mugs. Top with whipped cream and a dusting of nutmeg.
