Ornament Dough

• 1 ½ cups water
• 1 cup salt
• 4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more as needed

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C).

Step 2

Transfer dough to a floured work surface and knead until soft and pliable. Roll out to a thickness of 1/8 inch; cut desired shapes with cookie cutters. Transfer dough shapes to ungreased cookie sheets; use a toothpick to make a hole in each ornament for hanging.

Step 3

Combine flour, water, and salt in a large bowl; mix well and knead for 10 minutes.

Step 4

Bake in the preheated oven until hard, about 30 minutes; allow to cool.
