Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Season pork chops with salt and black pepper; coat in flour. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chops; brown on both sides, 3 to 5 minutes. Transfer chops to a baking dish.

Melt butter in the same skillet. Add mushrooms; cook until tender, scraping the bottom of the skillet, 5 to 7 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper. Add mushroom soup and sherry; stir gravy until well incorporated.

Pour gravy over pork chops. Cover dish with aluminum foil.

Bake in the preheated oven until chops are no longer pink in centers and an instant-read thermometer inserted into centers reads 145 degrees F (63 degrees C), about 35 minutes. Stir gravy; top chops with mozzarella cheese.

Continue baking, uncovered, until cheese is melted, 3 to 5 minutes more.
