Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Bake in the preheated oven until edges are golden, 10 to 12 minutes. Cool on the baking sheet for 1 minute before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.

Combine flour, protein powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.

Combine butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract in another large bowl and beat until creamy. Beat in egg and gradually add flour mixture. Stir in chocolate chips, walnuts, and candy pieces.
