Sour Cream Raisin Pie III

This version of a classic pie is wonderfully spiced with nutmeg, cloves and cinnamon. The spices are stirred into a sweet sour cream and raisin filling that is poured into a pastry crust. The pie bakes in under an hour and is best served warm with whipped cream.

Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
Step 2
In a large bowl, beat eggs lightly. Stir in sugar, salt, and spices. Stir in sour cream and raisins. Pour filling into pastry shell.
Step 3
Bake for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted in center comes out dry. Serve warm.
