This is my favorite all purpose rub. Great on lamb, beef, and even salmon. Add some virgin olive oil and honey to make it into a wet rub (aka Bill's miracle mud).

Step 1
Whisk ancho powder, chipotle powder, coriander, salt, black pepper, cumin, cinnamon, fennel, garlic, dill, mustard, and lime zest together in a small bowl.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seed
  • ½ teaspoon grated lime zest
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 2 teaspoons ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon dried dill
  • 1 teaspoon finely minced garlic
  • 4 teaspoons ancho chile powder
  • 4 teaspoons chipotle chile powder
