My dad and I loved black walnut anything. Black walnuts taste very different than English walnuts so I created this one on his behalf. I like it best topped with caramel sauce or honey.

Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Combine light cream, half-and-half, sugar, and black walnut extract.
Step 2
Pour mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to manufacturer's instructions, then fold in walnuts. Transfer to an airtight container and freeze until firm.

  • 0.5 cup superfine sugar
  • 0.5 cup chopped black walnuts
