Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Step 2
Melt 1/4 cup butter. Brush one side of each slice of bread with melted butter. Place butter-side-up on a baking sheet. Bake until lightly toasted, about 7 minutes.
Step 3
Stir blue cheese, salt, pepper, and remaining 1/4 cup softened butter together in a small bowl. Spread over toasted bread slices. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
