Brenda's Strawberry Slush Delight

Ingredients

• 6 cups water
• 1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate
• 1 (46 fluid ounce) can pineapple juice
• 2 (12 fluid ounce) cans frozen orange juice concentrate
• 3 cups sugar
• 2 (2 liter) bottles chilled lemon-lime soda
• 1 quart strawberries (fresh or frozen) pureed in a blender
• 2 cups rum, or to taste

Recipe Instructions

Step 1

Scoop ½ cup frozen mixture into an 8-ounce glass; fill with lemon-lime soda.

Step 2

Bring water and sugar to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat until sugar dissolves. Cool simple syrup.

Step 3

Meanwhile, place strawberries in a blender; blend until puréed. Set aside.

Step 4

Combine simple syrup, puréed strawberries, pineapple juice, orange juice, and lemonade in a 6-quart container; stir in rum. Transfer mixture to a large plastic ice cream pail; freeze 8 hours to overnight.
