Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Heat oil 2 inches deep in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Beat eggs thoroughly in a shallow bowl. Sift together flour, sage, salt, black pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder in a separate bowl to combine.
Step 3
Dip chicken pieces into beaten egg, then dredge in flour mixture to thoroughly coat.
Step 4
Fry chicken in hot oil until golden brown on the first side, about 10 minutes; reduce heat to medium and fry chicken on the second side until golden brown and no longer pink inside, about 20 more minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the thickest part of a thigh should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
