Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.

Stir sugar, flour, cinnamon, and cloves together in a small bowl until well combined.

Place 1 pastry crust into a 10-inch pie plate. Place 1/2 of the apple slices into crust and sprinkle 1/2 of the sugar mixture over the top.
