This recipe was my Grandmothers. Gooseberries and sour cream make for a yummy pie!

Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
Step 2
In a medium bowl, combine sugar, flour and salt. Stir in gooseberries and sour cream. Stir well.
Step 3
Pour mixture into pie shell and then cover with second pie shell. Cut slits in top crust to allow for ventilation. Bake in preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes.

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
  • 1 cup fresh gooseberries
