Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a tube pan.
Step 2
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean, about 1 hour. Cool in the pans for 10 minutes before removing to cool completely on a wire rack.
Step 3
Beat butter and cream cheese with an electric mixer in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Beat in sugar until well blended. Mixture should be noticeably lighter in color.
Step 4
Add eggs one at a time, allowing each to blend completely into butter mixture before adding the next. Beat in all-purpose flour with last egg. Stir in self-rising flour until just combined. Stir in mace, vanilla, and whiskey. Transfer to the prepared tube pan.
