This mezcal mule is a twist on Moscow mule made with mezcal instead of vodka. Mezcal has a wonderful smoky flavor that complements the ginger beer.

Ingredients

• 1 cup ice, or as needed
• 2 ounces mezcal
• 5 ounces ginger beer
• 1 piece candied ginger
• 1 lime wedge (optional)
• 0.5 medium lime

Recipe Instructions

Step 1

Fill a copper mule mug with ice. Squeeze the juice from 1/2 a lime into the mug. Add mezcal and top with ginger beer; stir to combine.

Step 2

Garnish with the candied ginger and lime wedge.
