Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Mix together sugar, allspice, salt, and pepper in a small bowl until well combined. Sprinkle mixture over each rib.
Step 2
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat, but be careful not to burn. Brown ribs on all sides in hot butter.
Step 3
Pour in beef broth, cover, and reduce heat to low. Simmer until ribs are fork tender, about 1 hour and 30 minutes. Do not remove the lid from the skillet during cooking.
