Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté garlic and shallots until lightly browned. Add shrimp and season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir in sun-dried tomatoes. Cook, stirring occasionally, until shrimp begin to brown, about 5 minutes.
Step 2
Pour cognac into the skillet. Stir to loosen brown bits from the bottom of the pan. Continue to cook until the mixture boils. Reduce heat to low, add half-and-half, and simmer until slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.

  • 1 dash dried red pepper flakes
  • 0.25 cup oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes, drained and diced
