Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Bake in the preheated oven until filling is set, 45 to 50 minutes.
Step 3
Combine sugar, corn syrup, butter, water, and cornstarch in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a full boil; remove from heat.
Step 4
In a large bowl, beat eggs until frothy. Gradually beat in cooked syrup mixture. Stir in salt, vanilla, and pecans.
Step 5
Pour pecan mixture into pie shell.

  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell

  • 0.25 cup dark corn syrup
  • 1.75 cups white sugar
  • 1.25 cups chopped pecans
