Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Combine tomatoes, chicken broth, and vegetable juice in a large saucepan; bring to a boil and cook for 30 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in basil. Purée soup with an immersion blender until smooth, if desired.
Step 2
Stir in cream and butter; return soup to medium-low heat. Stir until butter is melted. Serve immediately.
