Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion; cook and stir until tender and browned, 15 to 20 minutes. Add ground beef; season with meat seasoning, garlic powder, herbes de Provence, salt, and black pepper; cook and stir until browned and crumbly, about 5 minutes. Drain excess fat from skillet.
