Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Melt butter in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add beef; quickly brown on all sides. Add stewed tomatoes, tomatoes with chiles, okra, lima beans, and corn; bring to a boil, then reduce heat to medium.
Step 2
Simmer 1 hour. Add potatoes; simmer until beef is very tender, about 30 minutes more.

  • 1.5 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
