All you'll need is chicken, beer, butter, and seasonings for this amazing recipe where a whole chicken is seasoned and slowly cooked on the grill. This is a bit unorthodox, but the end result is moist and flavorful.

Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Preheat an outdoor grill for low heat.
Step 2
Melt 1/2 cup butter in a small skillet. Mix in 1 tablespoon garlic salt, 1 tablespoon paprika, salt, and pepper.
Step 3
Discard 1/2 of the beer, leaving the remainder in the can. Add remaining butter, garlic salt, paprika, and desired amount of salt and pepper to the beer can. Place can on a baking sheet or disposable pan. Set chicken upright on the beer can, inserting can into the cavity of the chicken. Baste chicken with the melted, seasoned butter.
Step 4
Place baking sheet with beer and chicken on the preheated grill. Cook over low heat until internal temperature of the chicken reaches 180 degrees F (80 degrees C), about 3 hours.
