Recipe Instructions

Step 1
Melt butter in a large pot over medium heat. Blend in brown sugar and confectioners' sugar until smooth. Remove from heat; whisk in ice cream, cinnamon, and nutmeg until incorporated. Pour rum batter into a plastic container, cover, and store in the freezer.
Step 2
To make 1 serving hot buttered rum: Measure 1 tablespoon rum batter and 1 fluid ounce rum into a coffee mug. Fill the mug with boiling water; stir. Sprinkle top with nutmeg.
